Community Corner
Remembrance Service
VNA HealthCare’s Annual Remembrance Service will be held on Sunday, November 13 at St. John‘s Parish, 16 Church St., Waterbury. Gathering and registration will start at 5 p.m. and the service will begin at 5:30.
The non-denominational service will remember community members and VNA HealthCare hospice patients who have passed away. During the indoor service, names of those being remembered will be honored along with a special program of readings and music. Light refreshments will be served at a reception immediately following the service.
According to Bill Pilkington, VNA HealthCare bereavement coordinator, “This service provides an opportunity for people to come together not only to honor and remember those who have died, but to support each other in the process.” “By sharing memories, reconnecting, and celebrating the many ways their loved ones have touched them, people can help each other heal as they realize that they’re not alone as they navigate through grief’s uncertainties,” he said.
