Hurd House Opens for the 2012 Season

The Hurd House Museum will be open immediately following the Woodbury Memorial Day Parade on Sunday, May 27th. The parade is scheduled to start at 2pm.

The official start of the 2012 season will be on Sunday, June 3rd from 2-4pm and will continue every Sunday through October. 

Visitors make take a tour of the oldest house in Litchfield County, circa 1680, including the barn which houses original farm implements and tools. Walk the grounds and enjoy the newly restored herb garden. Take a stroll through the Hollow or visit the District #2 School House.

This season will include many special events, such as Tavern Night, the Colonial Fair, Thanksgiving Morning, the Woodbury Christmas Festival and the 22nd Reading of a "Christmas Carol". 

Tours are free and open to the public and take place from 2-4 on Sundays.
