Pomperaug Valley Garden Club Fundraiser...Antiques Appraisals and a Silent Auction

The Pomperaug Valley Garden
Club will sponsor an important fundraiser when antiques consultant and
appraiser Bernie McManus, of Woodbury, will give verbal evaluations of family
treasures and heirlooms.  Those attending
are welcome to bring up to two items to be verbally appraised for a fee of $5
each.  The event is set for Tuesday,
March 11 at the Woodbury Senior Center, 265 Main Street South.  The doors will open at 10:30 with a silent
auction and a brief talk by Mr. McManus on the art of conducting
appraisals.  Mr. McManus will be
available to provide appraisals until 12 noon.

The auction will be a
treasure hunt and will feature carefully selected donated items of various
shapes, sizes and value.  While the value
of each item will be stipulated, there will be a low reserve.  The auction will end at 11:30a.m. Attendees
are encouraged to participate in the silent auction and to partake of an
enticing array of refreshments.
