Saturday, October 26th at 7:30 PM, New Morning

Songwriter’s Series will be presenting Kristen Graves, Don Lowe, Glen Roethel

and Chris Ellis in the second show of this new series.  The series will focus on singer/songwriters

and will include both local and touring acts in an “in the round” format where

the artists will take turns performing their songs.

that Connecticut has to offer:

Kristen Graves is a singer/songwriter from Fairfield, CT who

currently is serving as the Connecticut State Troubadour.  With catchy songs, funny songs and inspiring

lyrics, Kristen performs approximately 175 shows a year throughout the

country.  She has four albums, a

Christmas CD and two EPs to her credit.

Don Lowe is originally from McHenry, ND (population 63) and his songs explore the world around him.  They tease the pious and greedy, but are

gentle to humans.  His musical influences

include John Prine, Greg Brown, Steve Earle and Loudon Wainwright III.  Don has just released his second CD, Out

Here.

Glen Roethel is a rare performer

with a penchant for positive intentional lyrics.  He is a generous, welcoming performer whose

guitar and vocal chops might intimidate you if you weren’t so busy having such

a great time.  A prolific writer, Glen

has appeared on six critically acclaimed CD’s in 2012/2013.

Chris Ellis is a Pittsburgh

native who has lived in eight states and written about 200 songs which he

classifies as “folk-country-rock-ish”. 

He spent three years in Nashville, where he recorded hi debut CD, After

the Apocalypse.  Chris currently hosts

the Tuesday night Open Mic at 59 Bank Street in New Milford.

The doors will be open at 7:00

and the show will start promptly at 7:30.
