Lecture: The Treason Trial of Aaron Burr
In 1807, three giants in the political
arena came together to hash out one of our nation's most fascination
political dramas of the early republic. Author and Professor of Law and
History at University of Connecticut School of Law R. Kent Newmyer will
discuss his book, The Treason Trial of Aaron Burr, and how President
Jefferson and Chief Justice John Marshall played key roles in
determining Burr's guilt or innocence.
