Flanders offers Program on Herbs with Jennifer Grant

Come
spend an afternoon at Flanders with herbalist Jennifer Grant. Jennifer will
briefly discuss the history of herbalism and then proceed on to a discussion of
our local edible and medicinal “weeds”. Further, Jennifer will discuss the
various constituents and actions for each plant, and which plants to avoid.
Discussion will be followed by a plant identification walk and discussion about
harvesting plants in a responsible manner. The afternoon will conclude with a
discussion of the nutritional value of many of these plants, and tea blending
for basic health and nutrition. With a little guidance prepare your own tea
blend to enjoy at home.
