Stuff a Bus at New Morning Market in Honor of Food Day

New Morning Marketing in Woodbury, CT is now accepting donations for the Connecticut Food Bank, in an effort to stuff a vintage VW bus to the gills.  They plan to finish collecting and deliver the goods on Food Day, October 24th. Food Day is a nationwide celebration and a movement for healthy, affordable and sustainable food.

Items most needed by the food bank are; 100% Fruit Juice (cans/bottles/boxes); Canned vegetables & fruit; Chunky soups & beef stew; Gluten-free products; Macaroni & cheese; Peanut butter; Powdered milk; Rice / dry & canned beans; Spaghetti & sauce; “Sugar free,” “low sodium,” & “no salt” items; Tuna & other canned meat.  Cash and check donations will also be accepted.

The bus will depart at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 24th, and everyone is invited to come for the send off.
