Flanders hosts a Candlelight and Wine Evening “The Process of Discovery: A Life in Clay” with Elizabeth MacDonald

Elizabeth MacDonald describes her ceramic constructions as part architecture, part sculpture and part painting. In her slide show, photographs of her work will be echoed in words and images that have inspired her and led her on a visual journey that has evolved through the years of her professional life. Her work can be seen in many private, corporate and museum collections inside and outside the United States.  Her murals have been commissioned by hotels in Tokyo and Hong Kong, and by medical centers, financial institutions and major national corporations in New York, Boston, Los Angeles and Baltimore, including a 78 foot-long mural consisting of 11,000 tiles in Chicago.
