'Travel' to France This Thursday: Woodbury Library Offers Armchair Travel Talk

Travel to new locales without ever leaving the comfort of the library is what the Armchair Travel series is all about.

 

If your New Year's resolution is to travel more, the Woodbury Public Library's Armchair Travel is a start.

At 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, Michelle Van Akin will transport guests to Paris, France via pictures and her personal stories of the experience.

She spent a fall semester studying international relations and completing an internship in Paris, France. She also traveled around Europe and will show pictures including Croatia, Italy and Belgium.

Following the French theme, "Midnight in Paris," written and directed by Woody Allen, will be shown at the library at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12.
