Where to Go Apple Picking in Connecticut
With the smell of autumn filling the air, it's time to head to the orchards and pick your own apples for cider, pies and other autumnal staples.
There's nothing quite like taking the family and retreating to a local farm on a fall afternoon. Freshly-pressed cider, a warm cider donut, the carving of a jack-o-lantern all contribute to each year's autumn memories, but there's also plenty of fun to be had outdoors.
It's apple-picking season, and Connecticut is flush with orchards and farms with trees begging to be picked so they can contribute to your pies, homemade ciders and daily efforts to keep the doctor away.
