Thunderstorms Moving into Litchfield County From New York

The storms are not expected to be severe but could become stronger, according to Steve MacLaughlin from WTNH.

 

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement noting that strong thunderstorms are expected to roll through Litchfield County this afternoon, Friday, June 8.

T'Storms now moving into Western Fairfield and Litchfield Counties from New York. Not severe, but have the potential to become stronger.

The National Weather Service indicated the thunderstorms will occur in northern Litchfield County and are capable of producing hail, strong winds around 45 mph and frequent lightning.
