Rainy Weather In the Forecast to Start the Week

Storms extending into Wednesday are predicted by the National Weather Service.

 

Mother Nature gave us great weather for the holiday weekend, but if the National Weather Service forecast rings true, the weather will be stormy through Wednesday.

  • Monday Night, Sept. 3: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms possible after 1 a.m. Some storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.
  • Tuesday, Sept. 4: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 75. East wind around 7 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Tuesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
  • Wednesday, Sept. 5: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
  • Wednesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.
