Local Shelter Information Available on State Website or by Telephone

Malloy urged residents in flood-prone areas to evacuate.

Local shelter information is available at the state’s Hurricane Irene website or by calling 2-1-1, according to Gov. Dannel P. Malloy.

"I have urged everyone who is in a flood-prone area to evacuate," said Gov. Malloy. "Residents can now find shelter information, as well as the most recent weather update and links to live streaming press briefings, on our Hurricane Irene website.”

The new Hurricane Irene Shelter Information link will provide current information on local shelters. It is updated every two hours by 2-1-1.
