Heavy Rains Could Cause Flooding Tuesday, Wednesday

Periodic rain and thunderstorms could lead to flooding Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 4 and 5.

 

The National Weather Service is warning of a hazardous weather outlook for Middlebury, with thunderstorms expected to bring heavy rains and the potential for flooding Tuesday into Wednesday night.

“Periods of heavy showers and embedded thunderstorms” are likely Tuesday through Wednesday night, the NWS forecasts, “as a slow moving frontal system” passes over parts of New York, New Haven County and southern Connecticut.
