Grassy Hill Road Remains Closed This Weekend

First Selectman Gerald 'Jerry' Stomski expects the temporary bridge to be completed by Wednesday, August 22, or Thursday, August 23.

Grassy Hill Road will continue to be closed throughout the weekend: Saturday and Sunday, August 18 and 19, after an.

Woodbury First Selectman Gerald Stomski told Patch that engineers are putting together the specifications and drawings for the replacement for a new cross culvert.

"We will be assembling a temporary bridge to span the brook to allow traffic to resume," he said. "This temporary bridge will be on loan from the Connecticut Department of Transportation."

He said the temporary bridge will be in place by Wednesday, August 22.

Stomski said there is estimate of costs at this time.

Alternative routes are over Transylvania Road to Grassy Hill Road or up Route 317 to Upper Grassy Hill Road.
