Did You Feel the Earthquake?

Readers sounds off on our Facebook page about yesterday's earthquake.

 

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a 4.0 magnitude earthquake struck Maine at 7:12 p.m. Tuesday approximately three miles outside of Hollis Center.

There were no damage or casualties reported, however, according to the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, there were “numerous reports of this quake being felt in parts of Connecticut.”

 Peter Teague: Some friends in Maine, NH, & MA felt it! I heard it was felt in Hartford but I didn't feel it in Woodbury. I'm just...not feeling it tonight...

AllanNlaura Cetrone: My 8 year old daughter felt it here in Woodbury! I told her it must be the wind! Oops!!

Kellyanne Koemp: I didn't feel it in Woodbury, but according to Geology of CT books my husband has, we have the Pomperaug Fault around here, so I guess we were lucky tonight!

Ruth Melchiori: It wiggled the building at Canfield Corner!
