Brindle Girl Desperately Needs Out

She has been at Vernon Animal Control for too long and is losing hope of finding a home.

URGENT: This beautiful, sad brindle girl was picked up as a stray in Coventry over this past summer. No one has come for her, and she desperately needs immediate rescue.

Upon intake, she was the sweetest and one of the friendliest. After so much time alone and kennelled, she is now extremely shy and standoffish. No signs of aggression - just sad and unhopeful. She will need time to decompress and learn to live on the outside (literally) again.

She is approximately 2 years old with so much life left to live ... please consider helping her!

She is being housed at Vernon Animal Control, 100 Windsorville Rd., Vernon.

Coventry Animal Control can be reached at 860-742-4074 or Vernon Animal Control can be reached at 860-870-3558.

this is breaking my heart. would someone please give a second thought to this dog. I really wish I had room for another dog. My pit mix and his sissie Labrador hog up all my sofa space, but I'd love a dog like this. Let's get her out of A.C.

Vernon is saying she is no longer there, does ANYONE know if she was adopted or rescued?

no and when asked on their fb site the comments were deleted....which doesnt bode well for her fate. :( I hope I'm wrong, but it appears she didnt get out. :(

I called and spoke to Jerry on wednesday afternoon and asked about her. (Jerry said she had no name). I told him I was trying to use my network to help. He did not say she was in imminent jeopardy...

MJ, you're right. I just called Vernon A.C. and the dog is "gone." I had two potential leads in the works. I didn't realize her time was that close to being "up." I was told she had been there for 4-1/2month.
