Blue, a Male Mastiff
Blue is a big boy in body but a youngster at heart. This one-year-old Mastiff mix loves to play. He is strong on a leash, but once he gets walking he settles down. With a little practice, he will learn quickly.
Despite his size -- he's about 75 pounds -- he plays gently with the puppies and other dogs. He is not fond of cats though, and is looking for a new home that is feline-free.
Harry, a Male Shih Tzu (No picture available)
Harry is a sweet little male dog who is currently living in foster care. He has taken a bit to warm up to his new surroundings, but once he does, he is a happy, energetic dog.
One of Harry's cutest traits is that he actually tries to talk to his foster mom, and it almost sounds similar to the chatter that human babies makes!
This boy is not a huge fan of the outdoors, so he is happiest spending his time indoors and right next to his owner.
Lena, a Female Tortoiseshell Cat
Lena is a loving kitty who needs a new home because of a child's allergies in the home where she currently lives. We are working to do our best at finding her a new family so that this 9-year-old cat doesn't have to go from life in a home, to life in a shelter. Lena would fit perfectly in a household where she can be the only cat, and a quieter home would make her happiest.
Nahla, a Female Shepherd Mix (No picture available)
Nahla is sweet and mellow. She is shy and searching for a patient owner with a relaxed lifestyle. She is looking for gentle guidance and someone to help her come out of her shell, especially around adult males. She bonds strongly with her "special person" but becomes worries when left alone for too long. AFL staff note that Nahla needs an understanding owner who can help her become more independent and is at home for part of the day.
Pongo, a Male Dalmatian Mix
Pongo is a Dalmatian mix, approximately 1-year-old. He is a real goofball and a free spirit, AFL staff said. He is a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, 'glass is half full' kind of dog looking for someone who loves to laugh and play around.
Pongo is deaf but never lets that hold him back. He is smart, independent, confident and clever. He already knows how to sit and fetch a ball. Pongo loves long naps, even if there's a party going on next to him. AFL staff said his new owner should have a great sense of humor and a bunch of tennis balls on hand at all times.
Truffles, a Female Chocolate Labrador Retriever
Truffles is looking for a family to take hikes with, or maybe a doggie companion to run and play with. This female Chocolate Lab is a year old and she has the typical Lab personality -- outgoing, lovable, and playful.
Truffles likes to take walks with shelter volunteers and she longs to play with every dog she passes.
