$1 Million Powerball Ticket Sold in Connecticut on Halloween, Still Unclaimed
Somewhere in Connecticut, someone bought a prize-winning Powerball® ticket for the October 31 drawing.

Even though there were no jackpot winners in the October 31, 2012, Powerball® drawing, an extra-special Halloween treat was won on one lucky Powerball ticket purchased in Connecticut—a $1,000,000 prize win as a result of matching 5 numbers from the October 31 Powerball drawing.

The winning Powerball numbers drawn on October 31 were 1 - 27 - 31 - 45 - 48. Connecticut’s winning ticket holder matched the first five numbers, but missed the Powerball number, 5. In total, 8,615 winning Powerball tickets were sold statewide for that date, with prizes ranging from $4 to $2,000,000.
The million dollar winner has yet to step forward to claim their prize. Connecticut Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets.
Saturday's Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $124 million. Powerball is drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59pm and is offered at more than 2,700 lottery locations statewide.
The overall odds of winning a Powerball prize are 1 in 31.8 based on a $2.00 play. Odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510 million.
