Town Tavern & Pizza Opens in Middlebury

A new restaurant joins Middlebury's ranks.

 

opened last night, Monday, June 4, in the Village Square Plaza, 530 Middlebury Rd.

"It's a place where people can gather," said owner Dean Kotsaftis.

The restaurant has a different set-up from its previous occupants: and Bella Luna. An ample sized bar provides counter seating and smaller, more intimate tables and tables suitable for larger groups are available. The decor is warm and cozy.

  • Buffalo chicken ravioli appetizer: $7.99
  • Lob Cobb, a lobster Cobb salad: $12.99
  • Ham & brie sandwich: $10.99
  • California burger: $11.99
  • Shrimp scampi ravioli: $16.99
  • Pork porterhouse: $16.99
  • Pecan salmon: $15.99
  • Margarita Pizza: $13.99 for a small, $16.99 for a large
  • Red velvet cake: $6.99
  • Xango: A banana wrapped in caramel cheesecake and puff pastry, quickly fried: $5.99

 

Constantine is not new to the restaurant business but is new to the Middlebury business scene.

"We've lived in Middlebury for the past 18 years," he said. "It's always been a dream to open a business in my hometown."

Constantine's prior restaurant stints include manning the Shelton Pizza Palace and the first Bungalow in Watertown.

Town Tavern & Pizza is open from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Saturday and noon to midnight on Sundays. The kitchen closes at 11 p.m. Town Tavern & Pizza may be reached at 203-528-4891.
