Who's in the Lead for Best Burger: Polls Close Tomorrow — Friday, May 18

Pies & Pints in Middlebury and Woodbury's newest restaurant, Bilda Burger & More, are in the lead for best burger as of Thursday afternoon. Polls close at 9 a.m. Friday, May 18, and the winners are announced on Friday at noon.

In its purest form, it's just a beef patty on a bun. But today's burgers are much more complex, with toppings that range from the classic lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup and mustard to items that include everything from bacon, mushrooms, jalapenos, avocado, chili or a fried egg. You can even get a burger made from turkey meat, bison or vegetables.

When it comes down to it, you can put just about anything on a burger. And there are some great restaurants serving some incredible burgers right here in Middlebury and Woodbury.
