The Changing Businesses in Middlebury

The town experienced business changes over the past year.

 

Middlebury has seen its fair share of change in businesses over the past year. Most recently, the in Middlebury eliminated the gas station portion of its business.

The Middlebury Horseman's Exchange, formerly located at 564 Middlebury Rd., closed its doors and the building is undergoing an upgrade. The business was a horse tack shop and equestrian product supplier.

La Dolce Vita, formerly Bella Luna, also closed. A piece of paper on its door was handwritten in blue and read "We are closed" in capital letters.

A Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing on an application for a special exception to allow a beer and wine permit in the plaza located at 489 Middlebury Rd., is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at Shepardson Community Center.

There is also a fairly new pizza place that opened inside the Mobil gas station, Mizza's. Best food around for the price. Pizza is good but their other food is great! Burgers, french fries and wraps! Amazing! And FREE delivery. Our go to place for those lazy nights.
