CT Beer Trail Gathers Steam in the City

Local craft beer producers and their fans will converge on the state capital for the first ever City Steam/CT Beer Trail Winter Beer Festival on Thursday, March 1.

Every active craft brewery and brewpub in Connecticut will converge on the state capital to share samples of their hand crafted masterpieces for attendees of the first ever City Steam/CT Beer Trail Winter Beer Festival on Thursday, March 1.

The event is a collaborative effort between Hartford’s own City Steam Brewery Café and the CT Beer Trail with the goal of promoting the state’s entire craft beer community to craft beer fans and members of local industry.

City Steam Brewery Café is well known for its outstanding hand crafted beer, friendly staff, upscale casual menu and its great downtown location and décor.

But its beer is no longer confined by the landmark’s Romanesque architecture.  City Steam’s "Naughty Nurse" and "Blonde on Blonde" ales are now readily available across the state at finer package stores, restaurants, and bars.

As both a state-wide craft brewery and beloved downtown brew pub, City Steam is uniquely suited to host this celebration of local beer.

The event will include an authentic mouth watering German buffet expertly prepared by the brewpubs professional staff.

Additionally, a number of the state’s home brew shops and newly developing breweries will be on hand pouring samples of their own beers, giving attendees a rare peek inside the local home brew community and the state’s newest rising stars in the craft beer world.

A complete list of local craft beer producers pouring at the event, as well as a full menu, can be found at the CT Beer Trail website

Tickets are sold out, but you can still enter to win a prize pack that includes two passes to the festival, two tickets to the brew pub's comedy club and a $50 gift card from City Steam!
