UPDATE: Water Main Breaks on Main Street North in Woodbury

Homes are without water this Monday morning, July 9, and the town is offering assistance.

 

Update, 9:55 a.m.

Woodbury's Emergency Management Director Randy Ashmore sent out a recorded message notifying residents that crews are on site and he has no estimate as to when water will be restored at this time.

Residents may also fill out water bottles at the , 25 Quassuk Rd.

A water main on Main Street North in Woodbury broke this morning — Monday, July 9 — according to an e-mail from First Selectman Gerald Stomski.

"Many homes are without water," he said, adding that residents may fill up water bottles at the , 281 Main St. South, via an outdoor hose.

Stomski said the road is passable and the water company is in the process of fixing the break.

"The water company shut the main off," he said. "The break is across the street from the Shell station."

Stomski said the homes north of are without water until the main is fixed.
