Could somebody turn up the heat?

Well, I am here to tell you that this heat is not quite hot enough for the sauna effect I hope for. Can someone turn it up?
Hmmm. In actuality for most of the people, who are not so into sweating like this, it is over the top, on the mercury scale.

Kids and elderly, as well as pets have a tough time. Everyone is different in what works for them to cope, but here are some general guidelines to keeping cooler:

*Drink more water than you usually do, at least half your weight in ounces.
Be aware that thirst is not an indication of dehydration. If you are thirsty, you are past the point of needing a good amount of fluids.

*Drink water that is not too cold or iced. Even though really cold water is refreshing, The body will heat up in an attempt to warm up the cold that has entered the body.

* Coconut water has been found to be very hydrating.

*Stay inside. If you have air conditioning or it is cooler inside, stay in as much as you can. You might want to spend a longer time in air conditioned places such as a library or coffee shop.

*Eat less. The more you eat, the harder you body has to work to process it, thus producing heat. Less and light is better.

*Eat cooling foods. Foods that are naturally cooling are ones that contain lots of water, such as watermelon, celery, cucumbers and other raw foods.
Really! Who wants to cook in this heat anyway right?

*Avoid hot ,spicy and sour foods, as they heat up the body.

*Shower in cool water often. If you can swim or go to a brook or river, it is usually cooler there. You can also spritz with a water sprayer in front of a fan.
