"Sweet Dreams" Are Made of Gingerbread at Middlebury Church

For the 45th year, St. George's Episcopal Church in Middlebury offers up a culinary creation. This year's theme is "Sweet Dreams." Read on to learn all you need to know about the gingerbread village.

 

In the days leading up to the opening of the gingerbread village at St. George's Episcopal Church in Middlebury, the architects are busy creating homes, angels, reindeer and Christmas trees, all edible and all for sale.

Everything You Need to Know About the Gingerbread Village

  • Opening day: 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1
  • Closing day: Saturday, Dec. 8

Hours

  • 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1
  • Noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2
  • 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, Dec. 3 - 7
  • 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8
  • Address: St. George's Episcopal Church on Tucker Hill Road, Middlebury
  • Luncheon: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1
  • Coffee & Dessert: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2

So far we have a Hamster's Dream Treat Tree; Pig and Lamb Dreams, Santa's on his way in his Seigh, bridges and many other delightful dream houses over 30 so far and still building. Hope you all stop by. We open Saturday December 1 at 10 am and will close on Saturday December 8 at 4 pm. Stop by and pick up a poster with all the . hours. Stay for lunch both Saturdays or Breakfast on the 8th. Bakes goods, home made items and lots more will be sold in the baked goods shop, Sweet Treat Shoppe and Craft room. Wonderful baskets will be raffles on the 8th. And much more!

Love it, Paulette - thanks for sharing! I know I haven't seen all the amazing creations yet, but so far, the pigs are my favorite! They're so cute! Do you happen to know what sweet treat the pigs are made from?
