Reading and Crafts Taking Place at Woodbury Library Today

The library is hosting a reading and craft program organized by local volunteers, for preschool and elementary school age children staying in shelters and also for the public in general.

Parents of preschool and elementary age children can get some respite from the stressors since the storm, while their children engage in structured crafts and reading.

Sara Guillemette and her children volunteered to offer the event, which will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 1, in the upstairs children's section of the Woodbury Public Library, 269 Main St. South.

Parents must stay in the library with their children during the event, but can engage in their own activities.

"Parents in need of getting work done on laptops can come to the library and do so while their children engage in crafts and reading," said Woodbury Public Library's Children's Librarian, Bonnie Knapik.

Additional information can be obtained by calling the Woodbury Public Library at 203-263-3502.
