Midsummer Night's Dream Festivities Are Magic

Just now, fall fashion and pumpkin beers are showing up in stores. But in Middlebury and Woodbury, these two Midsummer Night's Dream events tell us that it's still summer!

There's something magical about the phrase "Midsummer Night's Dream." I'm sure we can thank Shakespeare for that, but these events in Middlebury and Woodbury are cultivating magic too.

A Midsummer Night Lantern Tour at the Hurd House Museum

Experience an evening in the late 17th Century. Take a lantern tour of the Hurd House while costumed docents recreate the activities of the daily life of the Hurd Family, according to the event listing on Patch.

Location: Hurd House Museum

Cost: Suggested donation of $10 per person. Children younger than 12 are free. All proceeds will go to the Woodbury Scholarship Fund.

Middlebury's Midsummer

Metropolitan Opera Tenor Carl Tanner will sing romantic arias with soprano Jurate Svedaite and the Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra at "A Midsummer Night's Dream: Romantic Arias and Delicious Desserts."
