Free Concert Sunday at Woodbury Senior/Community Center

The Brass Guild Quintet show will appeal to music lovers of all ages.

The “Friends” of the Woodbury Senior/Community Center is pleased to announce that The Brass Guild Quintet will lead off the free 2014 Community Concert series on Sunday, March 23, 2 p.m. at the Woodbury Senior/Community Center.

Music will appeal to all ages, ranging from classical music to familiar Broadway show tunes.

Admission is no charge, however donations will be appreciated.

The Brass Guild Quintet — brass instrumentalists who have been playing with the Danbury Symphony since 1990 — is comprised of two Trumpets, one French Horn, one Trombone, and one tuba.

On March 23, the quintet will perform music from Rossini’s William Tell Overture, Renaissance Dances by Susato and medleys from Broadway shows and more. No matter what your tastes, from classical to Broadway show music, you’re sure to be thoroughly entertained.

The free show is sponsored by the “Friends” of the Woodbury Senior/Community Center and funded by the Woodbury Bethlehem Community Music Foundation, Inc., through the Connecticut Community Foundation, The Woodbury Women’s Club, the Leroy Anderson Foundation and private patrons.
