Painting the Landscape in Oils or Pastels
In this 8 week class being held at the Blue Horse Arts Studio in Watertown, we will be projecting slides of various landscapes some of which are from Tuscany, Amalfi, and Sicily. This course is designed for beginners to advanced artists. We will cover a host of painting principles with special emphasis on composition, perspective, understanding form, and color theory. The landscape slides will be set for 2 to 3 weeks. We will be concentrating on landscapes of greater complexity. Beginners to advanced students welcome.
This class consists of a small group of only 8 to 10 artists. We will learn palette knife techniques and students can work in oils, pastels, or drawing. Topics covered will be color theory and composition as well as techniques for improving drawing skills. Students must have their own supplies. We supply easels. Thisis an open admission; register anytime.
