"French Chic"

     Lecture on “French Chic” at Woodbury Library


The Alliance Francaise of Northwestern Connecticut (AFNWCT) is sponsoring a lecture,“French Chic,” by French interior designer and furniture historian Florence de Dampierre.


The lecture, in English, will take place Saturday, Sept. 22, at 11:00 a.m. at the Woodbury Library,  269 Main Street South, Woodbury.

De Dampierre's elegant books ranging in price from $37-$63 can be purchased at the event and a book signing follows the presentation. Admission is free and open to the public.


De Dampierre is the author of a best-selling book entitled “French Chic,” which features decorations and
furnishings of her own house in Litchfield. Her articles on interior design have appeared in such journals as: “House and Garden,” “House Beautiful,” and “Elle Décor.

She is the owner of Florence de Dampierre Antiques in New York City.
