Woodbury Gets New Town Bike Path

Feeling like a bike ride in Woodbury? Now you’ve got a designated path for your trip.

Woodbury First Selectman Gerald Stomski announced this week that a 10.25-mile recreational bike route has been created around the outermost scenic parts of the town.

The route starts and ends at the Woodbury Dog Pound, at 281 Main Street North, where bikers may park their cars and start their voyage. A directional map of the trail sits in a newly erected kiosk and newly installed signs have also been placed along the route to guide bikers on the trail.

The bike route, the construction of the kiosk and the installation of the signage was part of an Eagle Scout Project by John Neilsen.

“The Town of Woodbury wishes to thank John for his efforts and congratulate John on the successful accomplishment of his Eagle Scout Project,” said Stomski.
