Tornado Watch In Effect for Litchfield County; Severe Thunderstorm Watch for New Haven County

The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for Litchfield County until 5 p.m. today — Monday, Oct. 7. 

Other weather alerts were issued for Litchfield County: 

Severe thunderstorm warning until 4 p.m. 
Flood advisory until 6:30 p.m. 
A wind advisory until 8 p.m. 

Winds could get as high as 43 mph, according to the NWS. 

In Litchfield County, a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 10 p.m. tonight.
