Expect Explosion Sounds in Middlebury This Week
Power company crews will be splicing lines with loud implosions this week.
CL&P crews were scheduled to string power lines on the Middlebury-Waterbury border this weekend and will be implosion splicing early this week, which includes loud explosions.
Residents should expect to hear two explosions each on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Residents might also see a helicopter flying lower than usual, as crews sometimes use them when doing line work.
