Amateur, Professional Photographers: Patch Wants to Show Off Your Work

Whether you take 100 photos a day or one photo a month, Patch wants to help you get more exposure.

Written by Jason Alley

Whether you're taking photos to share with your friends on Facebook or because it's your full-time career, Patch wants to help you showcase your work to our readers.

For amateur photographers, it's a great opportunity to show off your work to a wider group of people.

For professional photographers, it's a chance to show people the quality of your work in hopes they'll remember you the next time they're in need of a photographer.

With every post you make, you're welcome to include a description of who you are, a link to your website and/or Facebook page and your contact information. It's a great online portfolio that can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. And if you already have a similar portfolio on your own site, it's as simple as replicating your existing posts onto Patch to broaden your reach.

Some Patch photo bloggers post a photo every day, while others group together several posts of the same topic. Others even provide advice and tips to those thinking about photography. The space is yours to decide how best to use it.

To get started, visit the "Start a blog" page.

You'll then be asked three things: to name your blog, to write a short description of the blog and to upload a thumbnail to appear on the account. Once you hit the "Create your blog" button, you'll be on your way to making your first blog post. It's that simple!
