Vote For Jerry Stomski on Tuesday, September 10th

Friends,

I'm repeating again five of the many reasons why I support Jerry Stomski for First Selectman next Tuesday in the Republican Primary.

1. Efficiently trimmed budgets and size of town government, while reducing spending and increased services.

2. Settled and closed 28 pending litigation and lawsuits.

3. Conducted town wide emergency preparedness exercise, provided leadership, with multiple floods, winter storms, F-1 Tornado, multiple week-long power outages.

4. Built a micro-grid energy source. Installed emergency generators, Senior Center, library, police station, Shove Building, Boyd Building, communication cell towers, and Emergency Service Building.

5. Worked in a non-partisan effort to provide a guide for current and future volunteers, to better understand duties and responsibilities while serving on boards and commissions

In addition, I adding two new ones:

6. Jerry and Barbara Perkinson were nominated by the Woodbury Republican Town Committee at their town caucus last July. A so called challenger William Butterly ducked this caucus, where he could have challenged Jerry and is running in the Primary. He is espousing "UNITY" (of what he has yet to define - this is the old Woodbury First mantra of 2009), changing the Town Charter to limit the powers of the individual town commissions (Why? This would enable him to dictate what can be done or not done to these duly elected officials.) and complaining that the town's First Selectman can't get along with people because he had made the hard decisions to keep the town budget down during the recession of the past few years.

7. After having met with Mr Butterly to discuss his ideas for leading this town as First Selectman and watching him in operation as Chairman of the Board Of Finance, where time after time he demonstrated his lack of understanding of the reasons for supporting his items in the Town Budget, I fail to see how he can conclude that he is prepared to do a better job than the one Jerry has done over the past 4 years. His demonstrated inexperience in dealing with town issues and lack of leadership capabilities is more that enough for me to wholeheartedly support a true leader, Jerry Stomski.

As First Selectman, Jerry Stomski and Selectman Barbara Perkinson have made the hard decisions required of the true leadership in Woodbury.

I hope you will join me in supporting them at the Woodbury Senior Community Center and vote for them on Tuesday September 10, 2013.

Thanks to all of you for your continued support,

Art McNally, Woodbury
