The Watermark at East Hill Opens New Art Exhibit

On Saturday, June 7, The Watermark at East Hill will host a reception to open its June art exhibit “Perspectives: Then and Now,” by Roxbury artists Florence and John Maloney. The event will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the senior living community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

The collection contains a variety of colorful pieces done in acrylic and watercolor paints, as well as pencil and ink drawings. Originally from Norwalk, the Maloney’s now reside in Roxbury and credit their inspiration with nature, humor and their loving children and grandchildren. The couple has participated in art classes offered to the public at The Watermark, and have studied with many of The Watermark’s resident artists.
