The Watermark at East Hill Invites Public to August Art Exhibit

On Sunday, August 3, The Watermark at East Hill will host a reception to open its newest art exhibit by resident Harriet Starr. The event will be held at 3:00 at the senior living community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

Entitled “Count Your Blessings,” the collection of landscape oil paintings feature scenes from Starr’s hometown of Greenwich, including Tod’s Point, Binney Park and the North Mianus River. Starr also draws inspiration from the scenery of Sugar Hill, New Hampshire where she often vacations.

Starr has lived at The Watermark at East Hill since September 2013. Prior to moving to Southbury, she lived in Greenwich, where she and her husband raised their three daughters. After graduating from Syracuse University with a BFA in interior design, she worked in New York City in commercial and residential design. Harriet’s favorite subject matter is her children and grandchildren, who also share her love for art.

This exhibit is free of charge and open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 – 7:00 until August 31. For more information, please contact The Watermark at East Hill at 203-262-6868.
