The Watermark at East Hill Hosts July Discovery Luncheon

On Thursday, July 24, The Watermark at East Hill will host its Discovery Luncheon, seminar on retirement living held each month at the retirement community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

This month’s Discovery Luncheon will feature guest speaker Cecily Goodman, a resident of The Watermark who has lived at the community for four years. Goodman was born in Brooklyn, NY and after working in the insurance industry and raising a family, moved to Southbury in 2010. Goodman, who is also president of The Watermark at East Hill’s Resident Council, will talk about why she chose to move to The Watermark and will be available to answer questions about her own experience moving to the senior living community.

“Cecily is one of our most active residents, and is a great example of how communities like The Watermark encourage people to stay active and involved in things they love,” said Connie Haworth, Executive Director of The Watermark at East Hill. “Our monthly Discovery Luncheons help ease the stress sometimes associated with making the right choice with retirement communities, especially when residents like Cecily are so enthusiastic about their experience.”
