Room To Grow's Summer Day Camp accepting registrations for their 24th season
Children are eligible to attend from 5 years old (if they are entering Kindergarten in the fall) through 12 years. The maximum camp size is 30 kids divided into smaller groups by age. Field trips are scheduled three days each week to various local destinations such as Lake McDonough, Topsmead State Forest, Flanders Nature Center, Playscapes, White Memorial Museum and grounds, Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy, Steep Rock, and various organic farms for tours and picking. Out of area field trips this summer include the Peabody Museum in New Haven, the New Britain Youth Museum and the Trevor Zoo in Millbrook, NY. “Home Base Activities” include art, science, drama, music, games, building materials and more. Room To Grow is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to learning which values the child as strong, capable and resilient; rich with wonder and knowledge. The summer camp program proudly provides kids with opportunities to explore and appreciate nature.
Flexible Scheduling is the hallmark of Room To Grow’s programs. Summer camp runs from June 30th through August 29th, however, children can be scheduled for as little as one week. Partial weeks are also available. Drop off can be as early as 6:30 AM and pick up as late as 6:00 PM depending on the needs of the family.
Organic, Non-GMO morning and afternoon snacks are provided. Summer camp staff members are experienced year round educators and never seasonally hired teenagers. All staff are certified in First Aid and CPR. Staff are also certified in the Administration of Medications. CT License #14192

Room To Grow also offers programs for Infants, Toddlers, Two-Year-Olds, Preschoolers, Nursery School, as well as before and after school. Registrations are now being accepted for all programs.
