Lake Wine & Spirits Helps Raise Funds for Young Life Ministry Programs

LAKE WINE & SPIRITS in Southbury provided wines for a Young Life Wine Tasting Benefit held May 22 at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury.

Southbury’s oldest liquor store, Lake Wine & Spirits was founded in 1947 offers wine, beer, spirits and a top-notch selection of craft beers. For the benefit event, they provided tastings of a variety of wines from around the world. The Christian-based Young Life organization creates custom “life training” programs for impoverished youth throughout Connecticut and the nation during their adolescent, high school, college and university years. Young Life’s multicultural volunteer ministry focuses on kids in diverse cultural communities and economically-depressed regions.

The May 22 benefit helped raise funds to support programs at Young Life Saranac Village in Adirondack Park in New York where youth from New York City enjoy outdoor summer retreats and programs.
