Woodbury Cub Scouts Pack 54 conducted our
Scouting for food drive During the month of February and March. We partnered with several local organizations to collect non perishable food items to benefit
the Woodbury Food Bank.
“Scouting for Food” is Scouting’s community stewardship project aimed at addressing the problem of hunger in the community in which we live and work. Scouting for Food is a project rooted in the very foundation of the Scouting movement.
Through initiative and hard work the Cub Scouts
can help the Woodbury Food Bank provide local residents with emergency aid. It is up to the people of your community to make Scouting for Food a success.
Pack 54 had set up food collection locations at Labonne's where we had our Meet the Scouts Food Drive. Food drive drop off locations were also set up with our partner organizations at the Library, Senior Center, Parks and Recreation, Fire Department, Education Connection at Mitchell School, St Paul's Church, and Woodlake Inc.
The Scouting for food Drive Collected almost 6000 lbs of non perishable food items during the Months of February and March. Pack 54 will sponsor another Scouting for Food drive during the Months of October and November followed by our Annual Toys For Tots drive in November and
December
