The month of March marks the wildly anticipated annual event for Cub Scouts across the United States since 1953.
The Pinewood Derby is racing competition in which Scouts create a winning car from a block of wood and plastic wheels. Parent and child to work together toward a common goal – building a car that will get down the track. Pack 54 Cub Scouts participated in this event on March
The Scouts were awarded trophies for the top three fastest cars in each age group and then the Scouts raced for overall winners for the Pack. The Top 15 cars were invited to race at the Northwest Hills District level race.
Pack 54 represented Woodbury proudly and had three
Scouts place in the top three of the five age groups. Attached photos and names as authorized by parents.
Local businesses also raced in a separate event called the Businessman's Challenge Cup, where local businesses come out to support the local Cub Scout Pack.
Steve Stokes of Stonecraft, with Joshua Lawley and Justin Stokes, took first place in the event. Pack 54 wishes to thanks all of the participants from the Businessman's Challenge Cup for their ongoing support.
