Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center at Naugatuck Valley Community College Now Enrolling Students for Fall 2012
WATERBURY, Conn. — Naugatuck Valley Community College’s (NVCC) Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center is currently enrolling students for the fall 2012 semester with an expected Advanced Manufacturing Certificate completion date of May 2013.
Interested students can learn more about the program by attending an info session at Naugatuck Valley Community College on Tuesday, June 19 at 10 a.m. or 5:30 p.m. in Technology Hall Room T645.
Students who earn their one-year certificate in Advanced Manufacturing Machine Technology Level II will be qualified to work in machine technology and CNC manufacturing environments. The certificate provides desired work skills by combining hands-on instruction, interactive lab experiences, theory and possible on-site manufacturing internships.
Additionally, credits earned in this certificate may apply to the College of Technology's (COT) Technology Studies advanced manufacturing degree option, which offers seamless transfer to several four-year universities including Central Connecticut State University and the University of Hartford.
Students who enroll in these programs may be eligible for financial aid. In addition, these certificates are Workforce Investment Act (WIA) approved and qualify for assistance under the Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP).
