In the motivating spirit of National Preparedness Month, Woodbury's Department of Emergency Management, in conjunction with Woodbury CERT, is pleased to announce "Coffee-Break Preparedness" – Fridays from 1530 to 1700 at the Woodbury Deli (428 Main Street South).
These gatherings will serve as public forums where people can engage in open discussions about local emergency preparedness. Family, friends and the greater Woodbury community are encouraged to attend. Concerned citizens can ask questions, engage in educated debate, or simply come by to listen and watch – your attendance alone helps strengthen the community. The meetings are informal – so just stop in as you can, grab a quick snack or coffee, and stay however as you want. The goal of these meetings are to ultimately help inform the public on what being “properly prepared” specifically entails.
Floods, major power outages, heat-waves, severe-thunderstorms, Nor'easters, Woodbury endures it all; it’s about time our community comes together to discuss the real threats we face every day – as well as the best means in preparing for them.
See you all tomorrow!
