On October 28th, the Chase Collegiate School Rowing Team faced tough competition at the 42nd Head of The Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia, with area residents Michael Pelosi of Middlebury and Gary Lamoureux of Woodbury, as part of the team that finished third – taking the bronze medal. The racing was fast as Chase covered the 2.5 mile course in 15:07.83, 22.56 seconds behind the winner, Port Rowing from Long Island. With many hundreds of spectators looking on the boys raced swiftly downstream, navigating five bridges and finishing along historic Boathouse Row just north of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Chase is hosting an Open House on November 18 from 1-3 p.m.
