I think this town needs a beauty blog, and although I’m not an expert, I’m going to try to bring one to the many women who deserve to treat themselves once in a while!
The claim on my business card states, "I specialize in making you look like yourself: AMPLIFIED!"
Because at the end of the day, makeup and other beauty products, treatments, and services are supposed to highlight the best of you so you feel confident with what’s on the outside as well as the inside; they are interchangeable in many ways, not so much in others.
I hope it is clear by now that my philosophy is that true beauty and confidence comes from within, but we could always use some help on enhancing either inner or outer beauty!
People do many things to enhance their inner beauty, such as go to church and practice their faith, volunteer to help the community or perform random acts of kindness.
So why not do things that enhance your outer beauty as well? There is no need to feel guilty or shallow about wanting to feel beautiful!
Eight years ago, when I was a young mother and still working on my college degree, I turned this hobby of mine into a side business that was put on the back burner in recent years.
I am an educator -- that is my number one passion, with a concentration on equipping urban working-class students with the skills necessary for life, college and work, because that’s what school did for me when I was growing up in that setting.
As much as this provides me with a sense of enhancing my own inner beauty on a daily basis, it also brings a lot of stress! What career doesn’t bring stress?
As I approach 30 years of age next month, I am finding that my needs for enhancing outer beauty and camouflaging the signs of stress are evolving.
This is due to the fact that, like you, I am so busy! I’m taking an accelerated master’s degree course load, working full time, being a mother to my nine-year-old son, being a wife, a friend, a daughter, a sister; consequently, I have had to learn to streamline my beauty routine over the years!
Most women are just like me, and beauty can certainly be the last thing on our minds at times. Do not let my picture fool you! You will certainly see me running around town looking like beauty was the last thing on my mind that morning!
We have all been there!
That is why I made my beauty channel on YouTube and my Facebook page places where busy, working women with families to take care of can get practical advice and even some tips for special occasions! There is also some advice included that teenagers and beginners can learn from too!
If you’re at all interested, subscribe to my YouTube channel, 'like' my Facebook page, and check back here to keep up on all the latest postings!
This beauty blog will consist of tips, reviews, advice, and bargains that will aid you in amping your beauty! All it takes is some practical information and the right tools, and you’re on your way!
Let’s get the ball rolling with some questions I can address in later blog posts below!
Sending lots of love to my personal editing assistant, Beth :D!
