Judge Rejects Plea Offered by Former Westover Teacher

Allen Fitzsimmons is charged with a sexual assault allegedly committed while he was a teacher at the girls' prep school.

 

A judge has rejected an application for accelerated rehabilitation for a Northhampton, Mass., man for engaging in alleged sexual activity with a student at , the girls’ prep school in , while he was a teacher there.

According to the Boston Globe, the Waterbury Superior Court judge cited the objection of the alleged victim, who is now in her 20s, to the plea for the rejection.

Allen Fitzsimmons was the squash coach at Mount Holyoke College when he was arrested earlier this year on a charge of fourth degree sexual assault. The Globe said he is presently on administrative leave from the college.
